It looks like we will be hearing a lot more about the allegations about Vince McMahon.
PWInsider.com reports that “a number of mainstream media outlets” are working on stories on McMahon. “HBO’s Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel” is reportedly working on a story about the allegations and they have been working on reaching out to former female employees.
It was also reported that the “Wall Street Journal” reporters are working on another potential McMahon story. That story is expected to be out in a few weeks and they have also been working on speaking with ex-women’s wrestlers.
This past week, Variety.com wrote about the allegations. The story noted how the allegations could affect WWE President Nick Khan’s abilities to work on reveals with FOX, NBC, and Hulu and potential deals at some point with major streaming partners such as Netflix and Disney.
It remains to be seen if we’ll hear from any of McMahon’s accusers but if that does happen and if more allegations come out, that may put a lot more pressure for change at the top in WWE because there will be a lot more mainstream media covering the scandal.
