Former AEW star not too happy about his name being mentioned on Dynamite

Marko Stunt has given his thoughts about his name recently being mentioned on AEW Dynamite.

On the June 22 edition of the weekly television show, Luchasaurus confronted Christian, who had turned on Jungle Boy the week before after Jurassic Express lost the AEW Tag Team Titles. Christian told Luchasaurus to “remember what happened to Marko” and said they needed to talk. The following week, Luchasaurus’ heel turn started as he was dressed in all black and defeated Serpentico with Christian in his corner.

While speaking with NBC Sports Boston, Stunt, who departed from AEW earlier this year, was asked how he felt about his name being used during the promo.

“I was not aware that it was going to be said or anything,” Stunt said. “For them to do it in that context, I thought it’s kind of lame. I mean, it makes sense though in a way. I was a part of that group before him and what he’s basically saying is he came in and got me fired. So, in a story sense, love it, in a real-life sense, hey, it is what it is, I guess.”

Stunt was asked whether he thought Christian stole his spot in Jurassic Express. He doesn’t think Christian took his spot because they’re in two completely different roles, as he saw himself in a hype guy role while Christian was a leader.

Although Stunt stated he thought it was a cool concept, he didn’t think Christian fit with the group and didn’t add any dynamic. Stunt noted

Stunt continued to say that he knew from the beginning that the company would set up Jungle Boy for a big push. Christian wanted to work with Jungle Boy, and that was his way in, which pushed him out of the group.
