WWE NXT Heatwave Results: Ethan Page Steals The Win To Capture NXT Title Win

WWE NXT Champion Trick Williams vs. Ethan Page vs. Je’Von Evans vs. Shawn Spears was booked at this year’s WWE NXT Heatwave Premium Live Event. The following is the play-by-play coverage of the match:

The babyfaces and heels were working together in a somewhat tag team match to start things off before everyone went for themselves. Spears tried to use a chair, but Trick took him out with side kicks. Trick planted Evans for 2. Page with a suplex onto Spears, who was hung up on the middle rope. Page tossed Evans off the middle rope onto the two other stars before hitting a powerslam for 2. Spears hit Truck in the back with a chair and took put Page. Evans went for a spring board move but Spears hit him in the back with the chair. Spears with a powerslam to Trick on a chair in the corner. Spears with a superkick to Evans then Page with a superkick to Spears before Trick took out Page with a slam. Evans with a dive over the top rope taking out Trick through a barricade. Spears with a C-4 off the top rope to Evans before Page tried to steal the pin attempt. Evans with a spanish fly to Page before hitting a spring board cutter for 2. Evans with a spring board cutter to Spears then a dive off the top rope for 2 as Trick broke it up. Trick tossed Evans from the ring through an announce table. Spears avoided a kick by Trick and locked in the sharpshooter, but Page broke it up. Page with the razor’s edge for 2 as Evans put Trick’s foot on the rope. Trick with a knee strike to Page, who fell on Evans while Spears pulled Trick out the ring and Page won while knocked out.
