WWE has been trying to sign its talent to new contracts over the last six months. Some stars have signed, such as Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, and others, while others have decided to leave for various reasons, such as Becky Lynch and Ricochet.
Natalya’s WWE contract expired in June, and as the month ran out, the two sides were still in talks about getting a new deal done. Natalya had plenty of outside interest from other promotions for various roles, in addition to stepping into the ring to wrestle.
Natalya has been with WWE since 2007. During that time, she has been a two-time Women’s Champion (including a Divas Championship reign) and a one-time WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion.
However, Natalya won’t be leaving WWE anytime soon. On early Saturday morning, PWInsider.com reported that Natalya had locked in a new deal with WWE. The longtime WWE star has yet to comment publicly on the new deal.
