Backstage News On Why Two WWE Stars Missed Mexico House Shows

Over the weekend, WWE headed to Mexico for a couple of house shows. The first one was on Saturday in Mexico City, followed by a show in Monterrey on Sunday.

The shows featured the top bouts on the card, including Damian Priest defending the World Title over Jey Uso, The Bloodline feuding with Randy Orton, LA Knight, and Andrade, and the main event, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes beating Santos Escobar. However, two notable names missed the shows.

Those stars were Angel and Berto. According to a report by Fightful Select, WWE didn’t book the stars because the cards were already packed with stars due to being “super-shows”.  Angel did address the absence when he tweeted, “Unfortunately today I am not in the #Supershow of my hometown MONTERREY NL but enjoy and I hope to see you next time.”

Rey Mysterio and Dragon Lee were also on the card, in addition to the new WWE signing, Stephanie Vaquer, who won her first two WWE matches by defeating Isla Dawn days after signing with the company.
