Two AEW Stars Are Training For Their In-Ring Returns

It appears AEW is getting closer to having two of its stars back on television and competing in the squared circle as it approaches its biggest event of the year, All In from Wembley Stadium.

Those stars are Sammy Guevara and Tay Melo. Melo was away due to a back injury before taking time off for maternity leave, as she and her husband welcomed the birth of their first child last November. Melo began in-ring training again in May.

Guevara has been on the sidelines since AEW suspended him earlier this year due to an incident with Jeff Hardy. While working with Hardy in February during a Rampage match, Hardy was injured during the bout when he took a knee to the head on a shooting star press.

After the Hardy match, Guevara worked a no-DQ match with Powerhouse Hobbs before he was suspended. The suspension was due to Guevara not following the concussion protocol.

As seen below, Guevara took to Twitter to praise his wife and note that they are training for their returns.

He wrote, “Just wanna say this mama right here is doing such a great job. We are both training for our comebacks and I wish yall could see how much work she puts in. Some days are harder than others but she has been killing it, all while being a great mom and wife!  She doesn’t give herself the credit so just wanna say you are doing great mama & we all can’t wait for your return @taymelo.”

It’s still unclear exactly when they will return.
