Swerve Strickland On Bryan Danielson: He’s The Greatest Of All Time

AEW World Heavyweight Champion Swerve Strickland vs. Bryan Danielson is expected to headline the AEW All In event on Sunday, August 25 and ahead of the bout, both stars have shown each other a lot of respect.

The bout was made after Danielson won the Owen Hart Foundation tournament, beating Hangman Page in the finals. This upcoming match marks only the second they’ve shared the ring as their first encounter was booked in October 2023 on Dynamite, where Danielson scored the victory.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated, Strickland praised Danielson and noted that he’s never faced anyone like him.

“Bryan’s not just experienced, he’s the greatest of all time,” said Strickland. “That’s who I’m going up against–a first-ballot Hall of Famer. I’ve never faced anyone like him. But he’s never faced anyone like me.”

Danielson’s wrestling contract with AEW expires this week. He will retire from full-time wrestling later this year.
