Coming out of this past Saturday’s WWE SummerSlam PLE, an eventual show, WWE has officially changed the internal listing of two stars.
Damian Priest vs. GUNTHER ended with GUNTHER walking out as WWE World Heavyweight Champion after Finn Balor put GUNTHER’s leg on the bottom rope for a new fall. Priest tried to go after Balor, but GUNTHER caught him with a power and then rear-naked choke for the win.
Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa in a Bloodline Rules Match took place in the headliner. The Bloodline, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, and Roman Reigns got involved in the bout. Reigns hit the Superman punch to Solo, then the spear, before leaving the ring. Cody with the Cross Rhodes for the win.
As of this writing, Reigns has yet to be announced for Friday’s episode of SmackDown, although it’s expected. Priest hasn’t been confirmed for tonight’s Raw, although GUNTHER and Balor are slated to speak.
PWInsider.com reported today that Reigns and Priest are now listed internally by WWE as babyfaces for their respective brands.
