It looks like AEW will soon have one of its stars back after being away for over a year.
Tay Melo has been away first due to a back injury before taking time off for maternity leave as she and her husband, Sammy Guevara, welcomed the birth of their first child last November. At last year’s Double or Nothing pay-per-view, they announced the exciting news.
In a recent social media post, Melo shared that she is getting back in the ring to train for her in-ring return. Guevara returned to television a few weeks ago on the ROH brand, where he was used as a babyface in Ring of Honor and aligned with Dustin Rhodes.
PWInsider.com reports that the word making the rounds at AEW’s tapings last Saturday from Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas, was that Melo would be returning soon. Some within the promotion are under the belief that it could be as soon as Wednesday night’s edition of Dynamite.
It’s unclear what AEW has planned for Melo once she returns.
