Backstage News On Absent AEW Star

AEW has so much talent under contract that it can be hard to figure out why certain wrestlers are not used on television whether that be due to injury, personal issues or lack of creative.

Miro has been under contract with AEW since 2021 after a successful career in WWE. He has been used sparingly for years in AEW. The promotion has been criticized for doing start-and-stop pushes with Miro.

Miro only had four matches in 2022 and hadn’t been seen on television for months before being brought back for a return in June 2023. The former WWE star worked just seven matches in 2023, with his last match happening when he went over Andrade in their match to blow off the feud at Worlds End in December.

It was revealed in March that Miro and CJ Perry were getting a divorce after seven years of marriage. They broke up during the winter of 2023.

In an April interview, he noted that he had been dealing with a shoulder and elbow injury that he had taken care of in January. Miro added that he was recovering and getting stronger. He praised Tony Khann for having a great mind for the business.

PWInsider.com reports Miro is back in the United States, as he was spotted over the weekend in Los Angeles. The AEW star had been in Bulgaria for some time. It’s unclear when he will be back on television or what AEW may have planned for him.
