Things can and will happen in pro wrestling matches, with injuries right around the corner for any pro wrestler.
On Monday’s WWE Raw, a star was reminded of that as Kairi Sane worked a match and suffered a gruesome injury to her eye. The high-stakes match saw Sane and IYO SKY wrestle Unholy Union for a shot at the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships. During it, Women’s Tag Team Champions Jade Cargill & Bianca Belair were at ringside.
Sane hit an outside dive during the bout and caught the announce table. This caused her eye to start bleeding. In the end, the Unholy Union won, earning a rematch for the titles they lost at Bash in Berlin.

PWInsider.com reports that WWE’s medical team stitched Sane’s eye backstage to close the wound. We wish her a speedy recovery.
