It appears AEW is getting closer to inking deals with three wrestlers who were last seen in action under the WWE banner.
The faction comprised Bobby Lashley, MVP, Cedric Alexander, and Shelton Benjamin. In 2023, there was talk of the group getting back together before WWE released Benjamin in a wave of cuts that September.
Lashley and MVP opted to leave the company several weeks ago, and they are reportedly looking to reunite the faction with Benjamin in AEW. A few weeks ago, Totally Harmless Concept LLC filed to trademark “The Hurt Syndicate,” the same company that filed for trademarks on other MVP-related phrases and names.
Fightful Select reports discussions between members of the group and AEW. Plans to continue a faction similar to The Hurt Business outside WWE have also been discussed.
It was said that AEW has had talks with MVP, Lashley, and Benjamin in recent weeks. As it stands now, they’ve not been told that a deal is done or imminent.
