Injured AEW Star Was Backstage At All Out

AEW is looking to end the year with a bang and is hopeful to get a one star back who has been on the sidelines.

Adam Cole has been out of action since suffering a broken ankle. He has been sidelined since the AEW Dynamite: Grand Slam special after he sustained the injury while running to the ring during the World Title match between MJF and Samoa Joe as he jumped off the entrance ramp to the floor at ringside and began limping.

MJF and Cole had been slated to defend the ROH Tag Team Titles at AEW WrestleDream. Without Cole, MJF went forward with the title defense in a handicap match and retained the titles. Cole remained on television to keep the storyline alive while doing segments with Roderick Strong at Strong’s home.

Cole was revealed as The Devil at Worlds End, laying out MJF after losing the World Heavyweight Title. MJF got his revenge at Double Or Nothing when he laid out his former tag team partner.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Cole was backstage at All Out and was said to be walking around fine. It was added that nobody was giving a return date for Cole.

We wish him a speedy recovery.
