WWE Has Made A Change In How They Handle Promos Backstage

Under Triple H’s creative leadership in WWE, there have been countless changes compared to how things were done under Vince McMahon. Fans have seen Triple H’s vision for the company play out over the last two years. Production and the in-ring product have changed in many ways.

PWInsider.com reports, “There was a change backstage this week at Raw as writers for the promo segments were internally listed on run-sheets for the show.” This was traditionally not how it was done.

In the past, no writers would be listed internally for the segments that do not have physical interactions between wrestlers. A source referred to it as a “natural evolution” in how they handle creative.

Alexandra Williams, a longtime Senior Writer for the company, was listed for the Punk promo. For Jey Uso’s promo, he had Brian Parise, a longtime member of the creative team. Finally, the promo done by Sami Zayn had Christian Scovell, a writer and producer who has been with WWE for five years, listed.
