Sheamus is back to having banger matches after a few months of questioning his in-ring future.
Sheamus was sidelined with a shoulder injury throughout most of late 2023 and early 2024. He lost to Edge on the August 18th episode of SmackDown. While away, it was reported that Sheamus was dealing with an injury.
He returned in April on Raw. Sheamus previously noted that he nearly retired before returning due to the pain in his neck. He ended up getting through the pain and was medically cleared.
News broke earlier this week that he had signed a new deal with WWE. It was revealed on The Pat McAfee Show. However, no further details were given.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Sheamus had signed a new five-year deal.
It was added that “WWE had started working on at least 15 new deals for talent whose contracts would be up over the next several months.”
