WWE has filed for new SmackDown-related trademarks.
The company filed for “SmackDown,” “S,” and “Smkdwn” with the United States Patent and Trademark Office on September 20. They also filed for the new SmackDown, S, and Smkdwn logos.
These filings were for several goods and services, including clothing, toys, computer software, cardboard and paper hangtags, and entertainment services. WWE showed off the new logos last week on the USA Network premiere episode.
According to WrestleVotes Radio, SmackDown will move to three hours starting on January 3rd. However, the plan is for it to move to two hours in June 2025. WWE has yet to confirm the news.
This comes as Raw is returning to a two-hour format starting in October and then to a three-hour format starting in January when they move to Netflix.
