Top WWE Star Believed To Have A Few Months Left On His Contract

At a time when WWE has been able to sign talent to new contracts, one star will have to decide whether they should stay or go.

Styles has been off WWE TV television since putting over Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes at the Clash at the Castle event in June. Following that, Styles worked on a pro wrestling NOAH event and worked shows as part of WWE’s Japan tour in July and the Europe tour in August.

In early August, it was reported Styles was initially planned for an early August episode of SmackDown. However, plans changed as it was reported that WWE planned to bring him back to TV ahead of the WWE Bash in Berlin, but that didn’t happen. Instead, he’s reportedly healthy and just not being used.

Fightful Select reports that those they’ve spoken with are of the belief that Styles’ WWE contract is up either late this year or early next year. It’s unclear whether Styles plans to leave or if the two sides have talked. It was said that “numerous influential names within the industry and some who have worked with Styles believe it’s up this year.”

Fightful has been told that Styles is enjoying time with his family while waiting for creative.
