Final WWE NXT Episode On USA Network Was Almost Pulled Off The Air

WWE NXT’s final episode on the USA Network could have gone wrong.

WWE is slated to move to the CW Network this Tuesday with a loaded card. However, last week’s NXT wrapped up its run on the USA Network. The show often featured an overrun, but the overrun was seemingly too long last week.

Corey Brennan of Fightful Select reported the USA Network almost pulled NXT off the air as the show only finished seconds before the show would’ve abruptly ended because it went too long. WWE finished the episode with a press conference between NXT Women’s Champion Roxanne Perez and Giulia to promote their upcoming match.

This is where Perez held up the NXT Women’s Title while having a staredown with her challenger. Per the report, the internal name for the show was “Goodbye USA.”

As previously reported, changes are coming to NXT. Shawn Michaels told Sports Illustrated’s The Takedown that more surprises are in the pipeline for WWE NXT.
