AEW has added a big match to this Wednesday’s episode of Dynamite, the fifth-anniversary show.
Bryan Danielson had made it clear that he wanted to face Kazuchika Okada again as his Final Countdown continues as the World Heavyweight Champion plans to retire from full-time wrestling this year. Danielson issued the challenge for a World Title bout on the show.
AEW later confirmed it and noted that Okada’s Continental Championship will also be on the line. However, the catch is that Okada’s title will also be on the line for the first 20 minutes of the bout as Continental Title bouts have 20-minute time limits compared to World Title bouts with 60-minute matches.
Danielson is slated to defend the AEW World Title against Jon Moxley, which has already been announced for WrestleDream on Saturday, October 12. Here is the updated card:
