Daniel Garica is getting plenty of interest these days from both AEW and WWE. AEW would like to keep Garica under contract, while the rival promotion is looking to bring in the star.
After being written off television, Garcia returned to AEW programming during MJF vs. Will Ospreay for the International Title at the AEW All In London 2024 pay-per-view event, where he cost MJF the win. He later put over MJF at All Out before laying him out.
His contract is up in October 2024, but he has yet to re-sign. A previous update from Dave Meltzer noted that Garcia isn’t on AEW television right now because he has not signed a new deal. Meltzer suggested confidence within AEW wasn’t as strong about re-signing him as it once was.
However, Ibou of WrestlePurists reports that AEW is still confident Garcia will re-sign. AEW has also put together creative for him if he signs a new deal and returns.
