MJF and Jon Moxley were in the headlines coming out of the AEW WrestleDream pay-per-view event.
MJF, who had been away while filming “Happy Gilmore 2” since his last match at All Out, returned to attack Daniel Garcia after the TNT Title bout. Adam Cole also returned to run him off. As previously reported, MJF told people backstage at the show that he had to return to filming “Happy Gilmore 2” after this show.
For Moxley, he won the AEW World Heavyweight Title from Bryan Danielson in the main event. Danielson dropped the title to Moxley when he was choked out. As a result, Danielson will have to retire from full-time wrestling per the stipulation.
Coming out of the show, MJF took to Twitter to note that he tried to warn fans of Moxley’s new attitude as his character took a big change in direction.
