AEW Wrestler Undergoes Surgery

AEW will be without one of its wrestlers for several months due to injury.

Anthony Henry shared last week that he was going to be out of action after he suffered a torn biceps in a recent Collision match against Gabe Kidd for the NJPW Strong Openweight Championship. At the time, he planned to get surgery.

He was out with a broken jaw earlier this year. He had been part of the Workhosemen on ROH TV, with their last AEW bout coming in January on Collision, where they put over Sting and Darby Allin.

The injury happened while he was working at a Deadlock Pro Wrestling match, where Bryan Keith retained the DPW National Title. He was released while away with an injury, only to be brought back once medically cleared.

In a new Twitter post, he confirmed that he had the surgery. He wrote, “Surgery was successful. Now it’s time to recover.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
