Jimmy Jacobs Makes Appearance At Independent Show Following AEW Departure

Jimmy Jacobs wasted no time returning to the indie scene after wrapping up his stint in AEW.

As previously reported by Fightful, Jacobs resigned over the past week because he had been burnt out lately. AEW is looking at the change as a way to freshen up the writer’s room. Jacobs joined AEW as a producer in June 2023.

While in AEW, he worked a handful of matches for ROH, where he had previously wrestled. He hasn’t wrestled since a minute loss this past May with a loss to Satnam Singh.

Jacobs previously worked on WWE and TNA’s writing teams. In WWE, he was let go after posting a photo with himself and The Elite while the wrestlers were filming BTE near where WWE was holding an event.

As seen below, Jacobs made a surprise appearance at the October 12th XICW Detroit event. He hit MM3 with a chair and helped Adam Wick win the Midwest Championship.
