An AEW star who has been on the sidelines for months has been medically cleared.
Powerhouse Hobbs has been away since a February episode of AEW Dynamite when he worked with IWGP World Champion Jon Moxley. Hobbs sustained a legitimate knee injury in the bout.
Fightful reported in late September that Hobbs was also at AEW All Out weekend and is back on the road with AEW. Hobbs was cleared to return to the ring in the last few weeks. The AEW star underwent extensive in-ring testing before being cleared and was waiting on creative. It’s unclear exactly when he will return to in-ring action.
While speaking with Baby Huey on In The Kliq, Hobbs confirmed he is medically cleared.
Hobbs stated, “Ruptured my patellar tendon. A pretty gruesome injury. Me being me. I’ve been cleared. [I] Healed up pretty fast. Got that Wolverine serum in me a little bit. I’m cleared, I’m back. It’s already been put out in the internet world that I’m cleared. Time to pick up where I left off.”
