Swerve Strickland is high on two AEW stars and has called for fans to support the rising talent.
While appearing on the No Contest Wrestling Podcast with O’Shea Jackson Jr. and TJ Jefferson, the former World Heavyweight champion praised Lee Johnson and EJ Nduka. These stars have primarily worked ROH matches.
EJ is currently 6-0 in 2024 while working matches for the ROH brand and AEW dark matches. The former WWE star joined AEW last year.
Swerve stated, “Shoutout EJ Nduka as well. Major training…He has a lot to offer. He is hungry. He has a lot ‘I want to prove to the world.’ Not to anybody specific, just, ‘I want to prove it to the world.’ He knows how good he can be and what he can offer. I see it in him. I talk to him, have these conversations, and he’s dedicated. Week in and week out. Day in and day out, he’s on it. Whether training or in the ring, he’s training and working on it. So, pay attention to him and Lee Johnson when they are doing their thing. The fanbase, if you have guys that you like and are your favorites, watch them. Don’t wait for them to get on TV to watch. Watch them where they are at now and help push them to where you want them to go. Go watch them in Ring of Honor. You can be responsible for that. [The fans] were responsible for me getting my opportunities. Watch them where they are at and help push them and catapult them. The fanbase does that.”
