WWE Star Wrestled First Match In Months After SmackDown

WWE brought in some Raw stars for Friday’s SmackDown episode at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY, including Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Seth Rollins.

One star returned to in-ring action for his first match in three months, and that was Rollins. In August, Rollins was attacked by Bronson Reed in a highly praised segment, where Reed hit Rollins multiple times with a splash.

This was done to write him off television. Rollins returned to TV again a few weeks ago to reignite his feud with Reed.

On this week’s Raw, the company confirmed Rollins would battle Reed in a singles match at the Crown Jewel Premium Live Event on Saturday, November 2, 2024 from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. Before then, Rollins got back into the ring.

Rollins did so in a dark match after SmackDown, where he went over Dominik Mysterio. This match marked Rollins’ first match since Money in the Bank in July of this year, where he worked a triple threat match against then-World Champion Damian Priest and Drew McIntyre.

This was the thirteenth time overall that Rollins and Mysterio had worked together. Their first encounter was memorable, as it was Dominik’s in-ring debut at WWE SummerSlam 2020.
