WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg will get his long-desired retirement match after all.
Goldberg last wrestled in 2022 in a loss to Roman Reigns at the WWE Elimination Chamber PLE. In interviews, he claimed that Vince McMahon promised him a retirement match if he would put over Reigns. While he did the honors, WWE let Goldberg’s contract expire without booking him in one final bout.
Goldberg encountered WWE World Champion GUNTHER at Bad Blood, where things got intense and they confronted each other. GUNTHER recently welcomed the idea of doing a match with the legendary name.
While appearing on ESPN College Gameday, Goldberg announced he will have his retirement match in 2025. He said he thinks he thinks who the frontrunner of his next victim is [pointing to GUNTHER on the screen].
He said there’s no time nor date for it. You can check out the announcement here:
