WWE heads to the former ECW Arena tomorrow night for a special NXT 2300 show that will feature appearances by some ECW legends. One of the legends scheduled for the show is WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam. RVD talked about NXT 2300 on the latest “1 of a Kind” podcast.
RVD on appearing in NXT last week:
“I’ve been there twice before. It was a long time ago, 10 years ago. It did look a little different. They definitely had moved some stuff around. If they had that many warehouses, then I didn’t realize it. It was really cool. It was a good experience. Everybody was grateful. Everyone’s happy and giving the legends a lot of love. So, nothing terribly exciting, but I also saw a lot of my peers as well.”
If he was able to interact with any of the NXT talent:
“I saw some of the matches, but I don’t necessarily know all the names, so I’m not sure who all I was watching, but definitely some talented wrestlers. I think I watched the whole show that I was on, trying to prepare for next week so that I know everybody a little bit better and have a better idea of what the whole thing is leading into going to the ECW arena, but I met everybody. Everyone was super cool. But, you know, they all came up and, ‘Hi, I’m Veronica.’ ‘Hi, good to meet you.’ You know, what was her name? I don’t remember.”
NXT 2300 airs this Wednesday night at 8 pm Eastern on the USA Network.
