WWE Raw star Seth Rollins was interviewed on The Pivot podcast where he talked about WWE Crown Jewel where he faced Bronson Reed, Becky Lynch, his wrestling future and more.
Rollins talking about life after wrestling:
“I think everybody’s got their own blueprint. I think there’s some people out there that love the Hollywood thing. I’ve done a couple of things. I don’t love it. I wish I did. I wish I could say, man, I love it and I’m open. If anybody’s out there listening, I’m open to roles and stuff like that, but I just love my business, man. I love doing it. I love thinking about it. I love coming up with new ideas. Obviously, the performance aspect of it is fantastic. I think for me, when I start to phase out in the ring, I would probably do something behind the scenes.
Cody, he might be a Hollywood guy. I don’t know. John, that’s what he wants to do and he’s great at it. Dwayne, I mean, he was from the get go. I mean, if you look at, his run was short. I mean, he came in in ’99, ’98 maybe, and he’s gone in 2002 to do Scorpion King. Like four years, like he’s in and out. He always saw himself as The Rock, the biggest movie star on the planet. He always saw himself taking those steps to get to that level. For me, I see myself more like a Triple H. I see myself as a guy who might dabble in the movies and some stuff here and there, but I see myself continuing to help the business grow as I start to age out of the entering process. I have a ways to go, but I’m certainly closer to the end than the beginning, but when I do get to that point, I think that’s where I see myself. Hopefully, there’ll be a place there for me,”
On his training school becoming part of the WWE ID Program:
“WWE is doing a new initiative called WWE ID where they’re going to be working with wrestling schools and independent promotions to really try to proliferate that scene again. We’re one of the initial schools that are involved in that. So the fact that we exist in WWE is like, hey, let’s work with these guys because they’re a great school and now you’re gonna have kids who are going to be able to pipeline their way right to WWE and get the experience they need. It’s very cool to see. Very cool, and I get to stay hip with kids, man, because I’m not hip.”
