The Colóns Make NWA In-Ring Debut Tuesday On ‘NWA Powerrr’

Puerto Rico’s most legendary wrestling family has returned to pro wrestling’s most legendary promotion!

Primo and Epico Colón made their first National Wrestling Alliance appearance on this Tuesday’s episode of NWA Powerrr. The cousins spoke backstage to interviewer May Valentine, making their intentions known.

”Business is about to pick up in the NWA,” Primo Colón promised with cousin Epico at his side. “You have one of the greatest tag teams in Puerto Rico — and now the greatest tag team in the NWA!”

“The Colón family has challenged for National Wrestling Alliance championships for decades,” says Joe Galli, Chief Operations Officer for NWA®. “Now a new generation of Colóns look to make their mark in NWA® history — and it starts next week on NWA Powerrr.”

Primo and Epico are the son and nephew respectively of Hall-of-Famer and frequent challenger for the “Ten Pounds of Gold” Carlos Colón. Both are globally-traveled competitors and together multiple-time tag team champions.

“It’s hard to understand the kind of massive stars The Colóns are in Puerto Rico unless you witness it first-hand,” says Bryan Idol, the NWA® National Promoter.

“It’s great to see the people of Puerto Rico represented in this way,” says Idol, who has competed on the island extensively. “We’re bringing two of their biggest attractions to NWA® fans!”

For a half-century the Colóns have dominated Puerto Rico’s World Wrestling Council (WWC). Their family name gained universal recognition when Primo and Epico captured the WWE World Tag Team Champions. Both are equally accomplished on their own. Primo is a 16-time singles champion in Puerto Rico’s WWC, including five reigns as Universal title. Epico has held the coveted championship once.

The Colóns step into a National Wrestling Alliance ring for the first time on the Nov. 19 episode of NWA Powerrr. Fans can find the hard-hitting pro wrestling action of the National Wrestling Alliance each Tuesday, as the company’s flagship program debuts at 6:05pm EST on the NWA X (formerly Twitter) account.

The National Wrestling Alliance next heads to Dothan, AL, on Dec. 14 for Looks That Kill. An all-new NWA Signature Live Event, all top stars top starts are scheduled to appear.
