Konnan Has Been Hospitalized For Weeks With Serious Health Issues

Konnan has been sidelined for nearly a month while in the hospital.

Konnan has had his fair share of health problems as he underwent successful heart surgery due to the effects of COVID-19 after testing positive for it in February 2021. In early 2022, he needed another kidney transplant.

This was the second time that Konnan had had a kidney transplant. The first one happened in 2007, and his body rejected it, so he had to take anti-rejection drugs.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that Konnan has been hospitalized with diverticulitis.

Meltzer wrote, “Konnan has been hospitalized at this point for the last 26 days, after getting diverticulitis and then having other health issues stemming from it. He is hopeful to be home this weekend for the first time. I suspect he’ll go through it in detail when he’s able to do his podcast but the situation was very grave at one point, but he was able to make a turnaround that actually surprised doctors who feared the worst.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
