The trend of WWE television being taped instead of airing live will continue next month.
WWE has started taping episodes a week in advance more often than usual as the touring schedule continues to shift. They plan to tape the November 29th episode of SmackDown a week in advance on November 22 in Salt Lake City so staff and wrestlers can have Thanksgiving off.
WWE also plans to tape the December 20th episode of SmackDown on December 13th in Hartford, CT, at the XL Center and the Raw show on December 23rd, the week prior, on December 16th in Boston, MA, at the TDBank Garden. WWE is expected to air more live episodes once 2025 begins.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that the December 17th NXT event in Lowell, MA, will have a one-hour tape delay. This will allow WWE to air the show that night and tape the Christmas Eve episode as well.
Although WWE is believed to be airing an episode of NXT on December 31st, that hasn’t been confirmed.
