Former WWE Star Gangrel Reveals Having Multiple Surgeries In Recent Months

Former WWE star Gangrel, real name Dave Heath, has shared that he’s undergone a knee and a hip replacement in recent months.

Gangrel worked for WWE from 1998-2001 after a stint in WCW from 1997-1998. He is most remembered for forming The Brood with Edge, aka Adam Copeland and Christian.

This past May, Copeland vs. Malakai Black in a Barbed Wire Steel Cage Match for the TNT Title occurred at the AEW Double Or Nothing pay-per-view event. During the bout, the lights turned red, with Gangrel coming through the mat and attacking them. Black laid him out before Copeland speared Black with barbed wire around his head, then put him in the crossface with barbed wire, and Black passed out. This is the match that Copeland was injured in, resulting in him having his own surgery and vacating the title.

In a Twitter post, Gangrel wrote, “I’ve been hanging low last 4 months, reason is I had a total hip replacement 3 months ago and 3 weeks ago a total knee replacement. I’m on my way back up and feeling good!  #wantsome #getsome #badenough #takesome #cantstop #wontstop #fanginNbangin.”

We wish him a speedy recovery.
