After weeks of building towards it, WWE has confirmed the main event for the upcoming Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
The event will return on Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. ET from the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum on Long Island, N.Y., where it will air on NBC and be simulcast on Peacock. WWE is expected to load up the card and make it a worthy lineup that is similar to that of a PLE.
On Monday morning, WWE confirmed Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Kevin Owens. This was after their heated promo segment on last Friday’s SmackDown.
Rhodes previously beat Owens at Bash in Berlin to retain the title. After Bad Blood, WWE shot an angle in the parking lot where Owens attacked Rhodes, restarting their feud.
More matches will be announced for the show in the coming weeks after Saturday’s Survivor Series.
There's no love lost between these two. @CodyRhodes will defend his Undisputed WWE Championship against @FightOwensFight at Saturday Night's Main Event!
