AEW Star Provides Injury Update

AEW has been without one of its stars from the women’s division due to injury.

Skye Blue suffered an injury on AEW Collision in July during her match against Hikaru Shida. The bout was stopped early when she could no longer continue after the injury happened when she took a high cross from Shida on the outside.

Shida landed awkwardly on Blue’s legs. The referee checked on Blue before calling for the doctor, and the show went to a commercial. Once Collision returned from the commercial, it was announced that Shida won the bout via referee stoppage.

It was later confirmed she suffered a broken ankle and had surgery. While speaking with Chicago Wolves color analyst Billy Gardner Wrestling Night, Blue shared an update.

Blue stated, “We’re getting there…..July 20th….It’s hard sitting at home and watching [Kyle Fletcher] go to work and being like, ‘I feel fine, I can walk. I can wrestle, right?’ Then I’m like, ‘Oh, no, I can’t.’ But we’re getting there. I just want to come back fully healthy so I can go crazy and do all my hardcore matches and be 100%.”

We wish her a speedy recovery.
