WWE Raw Will Stay Family Friendly When It Moves To Netflix

WWE made a deal with Netflix to see its flagship show, Monday Night Raw, move from the USA Network to the streaming service beginning in January 2025. The premiere episode will be held on January 6th at the Intuit Dome in Los Angeles.

There had been speculating among fans that WWE may have edgier content on the streaming platform since there less restrictions compared to cable television. However, that won’t be the case.

WWE President Nick Khan told Sports Illustrated on Tuesday that WWE won’t be changing the rating of its programming and will remain PG.

“We’re not changing the rating of our programming,” Khan said. “There’s some online chatter about, oh, it’s gonna be R rated, or for us old folks, like X rated. That’s definitely not happening. So it’s family friendly, multi-generational, advertiser friendly programming. It’s gonna stay that way. I would look for more global flair, especially as the relationship [with Netflix] continues to develop.”

Roman Reigns, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, and John Cena are among those advertised for the show. WWE is expected to load up the show with big names and matches for the premiere episode.
