Former NJPW Star Is Still Preparing To Make His WWE TV Debut

WWE fans can expect to see a new star make their promotional debut in the near future.

Hikuleo opted to sign with WWE after his deal with NJPW expired. He wrapped up his commitments in Japan with the belief that he would be WWE-bound. That turned out to be the case.

Hikuleo signed with WWE the following month. As previously reported, Hikuleo is listed internally on the NXT roster, indicating he wouldn’t go straight to the main roster and join The Bloodline like Tonga Loa, Tonga Toma, and Jacob Fatu, who were sent to the main roster right away after signing with WWE.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “he is in the system. He’s not injured. At some point he’ll debut, most likely in NXT. But he’s training.”

Hikuleo is Tama Tonga’s half-brother and the adopted son of WWE legend Haku.
