WWE Expected To Break Record With Next Year’s Elimination Chamber

WWE will bring the Elimination Chamber PLE to Rogers Centre in Toronto on Saturday, March 1, 2025, marking the second consecutive year that the event will be held in an international stadium.

This show follows this year’s record-setting Chamber event at Optus Stadium in Perth, Australia, which Rhea Ripley headlined vs. Nia Jax for the Women’s World Title. WWE is advertising John Cena’s final appearance in Toronto for the upcoming event.

This marks WWE’s first event in Rogers Centre since WrestleMania 18 in 2022, headlined by a match between Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Hulk Hogan. Rogers Centre also hosted Hulk Hogan vs. The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 6.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “the expectation, and really it’s a lock, the show will set the all-time gate record for Canada.”

The record holder is WrestleMania 18, at $3,846,033. With inflation and an increase in the company’s product, ticket prices have skyrocketed since then. Meltzer noted, “WWE stadium shows are going to do in excess of $5 million and in a market like Toronto, likely significantly more.”

WWE returns with its next PLE with the Royal Rumble next year.
