ROH Is In Talks With Multiple Networks For Weekly TV Show

AEW purchased the ROH brand a few years ago to utilize the brand, talent, and tape library. At the time, WWE was solely interested in buying the promotion for the library, but Tony Khan was able to acquire it.

Under Khan’s ownership, there has been an ROH presence on AEW television in addition to airing ROH TV every Thursday night on the HonorClub streaming service and holding a handful of pay-per-view events each year. Warner Bros. Discovery reportedly didn’t want the ROH brand when the acquisition went through, so they could not get a TV deal and had to put their weekly program on a streaming service.

There have been reports of AEW shopping around the brand yet again to networks. This is why Chris Jericho became the ROH World Heavyweight Champion to help with the negotiation process.

In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer reported that “there are said to be multiple stations in talks regarding a potential weekly show.” It’s unclear who those networks are or how the talks are going.
