WWE Nixed Saturday Night’s Main Event Plans Due To Bronson Reed’s Injury

Bronson Reed is on the shelf after suffering a broken foot at the WWE Survivor Series: WarGames Premium Live Event while working the main event, which has caused WWE to shift its plans.

Reed suffered the injury when jumping off the top of the cage for a dive. He had surgery for it on Wednesday.  As previously noted by WrestleVotes, Reed’s return timetable from injury is around May or June 2025.

Bryan Alvarez noted on Wrestling Observer Radio the surgery was more complicated than expected. However, it was a success, and Reed is now recovering.

PWInsider.com previously reported that because of Reed’s injury, Drew McIntyre made his return to WWE TV earlier than expected. He will now meet Sami Zayn this Saturday at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

PWInsider.com reported today that WWE was originally planning to have Seth Rollins wrestle Reed at the event. This would’ve been the blowoff match in their feud.

We wish Reed a speedy recovery.
