WWE is coming off its Saturday Night’s Main Event special on Saturday night from Uniondale, New York, at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. It was a newsworthy night for the first special back on NBC since 2008.
One of the matches on the card was WWE World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER vs. Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor in a triple threat match. The finish saw GUNTHER powerbomb Priest on the steel steps outside on the floor before hitting a powerbomb to Balor for the win.
Fans may have noticed that GUNTHER had to show his strength in the moment for the powerbomb spot outside of the ring on Priest as he had to recorrect while performing the move. It could’ve gone wrong with Priest landing on his head.
Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select reported that “Gunther received a lot of praise backstage for saving the ending spot of the triple threat world title match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.”
