Yet Another TNA Star Is Done With The Company

TNA Wrestling says goodbye to another international star, as PWInsider.com confirms Kushida’s departure. The Japanese high-flyer concluded his tenure with the company this past weekend, participating in matches at the Final Resolution pay-per-view and a subsequent TV taping in Atlanta, Georgia.

Kushida’s arrival in December 2023 was notable for being a unique dual contract with both TNA and New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW). This innovative agreement was intended to be the first of many such partnerships, offering financial incentives and allowing talent to compete in both promotions. However, with the departure of Scott D’Amore earlier in the year, the initiative appears to have stalled.

Sources indicate that Kushida will be shifting his focus primarily to NJPW moving forward. While his contractual obligations with TNA have concluded, the news outlet reports a positive split, leaving the door open for potential appearances down the line.
