Drew McIntyre anticipates a big feud when he collides with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes.
McIntyre has been feuding with Sami Zayn and Jey Uso since returning from hiatus a few weeks ago. At Saturday Night’s Main Event, he went over Zayn in a singles match.
At the same time, Rhodes has been feuding with Kevin Owens. Rhodes retained the WWE Championship against Owens in the main event of Saturday Night’s Main Event. After the match, Owens, out of frustration, attacked Rhodes, hitting him with two piledrivers. Rhodes was stretchered out of the arena.
During a recent TikTok livestream, McIntyre talked about what it will be like when he meets Rhodes for their eventual clash.
“I don’t want to give too much away on here. It’s going to be significant when the time comes and he says his peace and I say my peace. I think the world is going to be along for the ride. Feelings will be hurt as well as bodies will be hurt. For now, …I went out and redefined what independent wrestler meant. He ended up forming another company and taking it to the next level…….Cody and I, it’s going to be big when it happens.”
The two stars have worked several times in the past, but their last televised match was in February on an episode of Raw that saw McIntyre go over.
