Brock Rechsteiner, son of WWE Hall of Famer Scott Steiner, is currently making waves on the football field as a player for the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. However, whispers of his potential future in the world of professional wrestling have already begun to circulate.
ESPN recently caught up with Scott Steiner to discuss his son’s athletic career and the possibility of Brock following in his legendary footsteps. When asked if Brock was considering a career in pro wrestling, Scott confirmed, “Yeah, that’s the plan. That’s what he wants to do so whatever makes him happy.”
Big Poppa Pump offered some insight into the dedication required to reach the pinnacle of sports entertainment. “Be a genetic freak like myself,” Scott joked. “It takes a lot of work. I did it for 25 years so it takes a while…”
Brock’s cousin, WWE Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker, also weighed in on the family legacy. Breakker, son of Rick Steiner and a rising star in WWE, expressed his admiration for Brock’s football pursuits and his excitement for his cousin’s potential wrestling career. “I think football and amateur wrestling are probably the top two sports that translate into what we do,” Breakker explained. “It’s in the family blood, family business. I think he’s gonna take to it very well, I’m excited for him.”
Scott Steiner reiterated his support for his son’s athletic journey, stating, “I’m happy for him. Watching him fulfill his athletic dreams. Once football is over, he’ll do it with wrestling.”
