Former WWE Star Pitches First-Ever Royal Rumble Moment

A former WWE star has pitched an interesting idea for the Royal Rumble ahead of WWE presenting the premium live event on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from Indianapolis, IN, at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Santino Marella has previously stated he would be open to returning for a one-off appearance in the Royal Rumble bout after a successful career with the company. He started working for TNA in 2023 as the new Director of Authority. His daughter, Arianna Grace, is signed to WWE NXT and has crossed over to TNA by making appearances as the liaison.

While speaking on the No Name Wrestling Podcast, Marella was asked about whether he could break his record for the fastest Royal Rumble elimination this year. He pitched the idea of being the first-ever father-daughter duo to be in the same Royal Rumble bout. He previously appeared in a Royal Rumble bout as Santina Marella with a wig.

“They haven’t called yet. My daughter, she had a little shoulder surgery. She’s back in the ring from it, but she hasn’t re-debuted yet. So I was pitching, I’m like, I don’t think it’s ever been done, father-daughter at the same Rumble. So it’d be really good for her to return to the programming. I’m down to show up and get that experience. Royal Rumble is my favorite pay-per-view of the year.”
