WWE Hall of Famer Mark Henry was interviewed by TMZ about the Monday Night Raw premiere on Netflix.
Henry praised the upgrades with the TV presentation and said that outside of the PLE’s, it was probably the best show he’s seen on TV since WrestleMania.
On the negative reaction to Hulk Hogan, Henry said that Hogan will always be in the top 10 wrestlers but he hasn’t tried to fix some of the things he’s said in the past.
Henry said, “Right now, with the social climate and the things that he’s said and done and lack of effort to try to fix it, people are gonna come down him. I never had an issue with him before I heard all of the stuff. Even then, I believe they’ve given him second chances. Anybody that knows me knows that I’m a fix it person. I’m not gonna dwell on the negative. I’m not gonna talk about the past. We’re going forward. He never wanted to go forward and fix it. That’s what happens when you think that everything is gonna go away. It’s not gonna go away.”
Henry was asked if he’s talked to Hogan about things said in his past. Henry said, “He thinks it’s gonna go away. That it’s not gonna be that dark cloud over his career. I offered to say hey, lets do a tour of the black colleges and law schools and explain what happened. He didn’t want to do that.”
