Backstage News On Corey Graves’ WWE Status After Move To NXT

Corey Graves’ move to WWE NXT commentary has fans talking after being on the main roster for years and highly respected for his work. Graves was moved to NXT on this week’s episode, where he joined Vic Joseph and Booker T.

This comes after Pat McAfee and Michael Cole shifted to Raw’s new commentary team, while Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett are the team on SmackDown these days. It should be noted that McAfee is expected to go on hiatus once again once football starts in the fall for his duties on ESPN’s College Gameday.

PWInsider.com reports that Graves is off the SmackDown brand going forward and was told he is currently scheduled for next week’s WWE NXT. It appears this will be his new home until later this year. The following bouts have been announced for that show:

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship Number One Contenders Match: Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend vs. Unholy Union (Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn)

NXT Tag Team Champions Nathan Frazer & Axiom vs. OTM (Lucien Price & Bronco Nima)

NXT Women’s North American Championship Number One Contenders Match: Shotzi vs. Stephanie Vaquer
