WWE NXT was newsworthy as it featured appearances from main roster stars such as Tag Team Champions Tommaso Ciampa and Johnny Gargano, as well as Bayley, who challenges Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton on Friday’s SmackDown.
Charlotte Flair was also backstage at the show. Flair had been sidelined when she tore her ACL, MCL, and meniscus in December 2023 on WWE SmackDown in a match with Asuka.
The moment happened as Flair did a spot in the corner, seemingly twisted when falling, and immediately grabbed her knee. WrestleVotes first reported that Flair’s return was imminent.
With the Royal Rumble coming up in a few weeks, it appears WWE is saving her return for that event. Flair shared this photo on Twitter of her at NXT with NXT’s Jakara Jackson and Lash Legend.
