There has been speculation among fans about who from TNA could represent the company during this year’s Royal Rumble. Mickie James and Jorydnne Grace have been in that role in years past.
Last week, WWE and TNA announced they have reached a multi-year partnership aimed at creating unprecedented crossover opportunities within WWE and TNA programming. Several NXT stars appeared at TNA Genesis on Sunday.
PWInsider.com reports that they’ve “heard from WWE creative sources there has already been a pitch for a top TNA star to be in the Men’s Royal Rumble match.” It’s unclear who it could be, but TNA World Champion Joe Hendry has worked at several NXT shows in the past and could be perfect for the role.
LA Knight, John Cena, Roman Reigns, CM Punk, Jey Uso, Drew McIntyre, Seth Rollins, and Rey Mysterio are the only stars confirmed thus far for the bout. WWE presents the Royal Rumble premium live event on Saturday, February 1, 2025, from Indianapolis, IN, at Lucas Oil Stadium.
