Injured WWE NXT Star Is Returning To Action Tonight

WWE is bringing in an injured NXT star to work his first match in several months.

Javier Bernal, who signed with WWE in 2021, revealed in June that he broke his foot in a few places and would need around six months to heal from the injury after having surgery. Bernal worked an NXT Level-Up match before making the announcement.

This is where he and Drake Morreaux put over Duke Hudson and Riley Osborne of Chase U before being sidelined. He seemingly suffered the injury while trying to catch Osborne on a dive in that bout.

Bernal underwent surgery in June. While off television, Bernal got married to fellow NXT star Tatum Paxley in September.

Fightful Select reports that Bernal is listed to return to the ring tonight during the tapings. He is planned to work a dark match. It’s unclear when he will return to TV.

This is just a snippet of the story. For complete details, please visit Fightful Select at Patreon.com/Fightful.
